The annual K-9 Classic is back for its 32nd year as a hybrid event!
It has been over 12 years since the roofs on our outdoor kennels were constructed. They have been maintained over time with spot repairs but have continued to weather and are now in immediate need of attention. The K-9 Classic will raise critical funds to help us replace and repair the roofs on the dog kennels and meow house.
Join us for a week of virtual fun with walk updates, pet contests, a mid-week pet parade, daily challenges, and pet activities all shared with you via E-Coach.
When you register, donate, or create a fundraiser, you are enriching the lives of not only our animals but ensuring the best environment for thousands of future homeless pets in need.
T-shirts, medals, and pet bandanas will be limited to the first 200 registrations. Group registrations of 4+ people will receive $5 off per registrant. Refer 3 friends and receive $15 off your registration fee.
To ensure the safety of our participants and to remain within city ordinances, this year's K-9 Classic event will have a total limit of 100 registrations for the in-person event. Please note that there are two in-person events available for sign-up, both will take place at Ascarate Lake on Sunday, May 16, 2021, but will have separate starting times (8:00 AM & 9:00 AM) in order to reduce overcrowding.
For those who are not ready to race in-person, unable to travel, or prefer a virtual experience for any reason. Participating virtually is also a great option for those who wish to set their own goals. Virtual participants are welcome to complete their walk any day, any time, on any trail of their choosing between May 16 - 22, 2021.
Help us “Raise the Woof” for our shelter animals by creating your own K-9 Classic fundraiser or by donating to another that is available. Get your family, friends, and co-workers involved to help you reach fundraising goals and redeem paw-tastic HSEP swag!

Day 6: Get the word out! Help us spread our mission and help make El Paso a more humane city for all furry companions.
Day 7: Be a model citizen - pick a dog park/neighborhood and clean it up so our furry neighbors will enjoy the park to the fullest next time they visit.
