Looking for the perfect companion for your furry friend? The Humane Society of El Paso is searching for Adopting Pet Owners who will compete for a rose - and heart of our long-time Bachelor, Jaxin.
Jaxin was surrendered into our shelter October 15, 2019 by his elderly owners who hoped for a more stable, permanent, and active home for him. The transition into our shelter created a lot of anxiety for him due to his new surroundings. However, after much time and patience from our staff, Jaxin has made wonderful strides of progress! Jaxin was new to a leash when he first arrived and was frightened by them, but now, he has a happy, wiggly booty when he sees a leash because he knows it's time for a walk! He sometimes will be startled by a loud noise during walks, but we've found that a harness is best in his case, and so is having a confident and patient person to follow! He has learned to rely on his confident doggie friends and because of this it is imperative that he go to a home that has a people-oriented, social dog for him to follow and learn the ropes from.
If you think Jaxin is the right companion for your dog, submit a open letter explaining why to email@example.com or visit our shelter and inquire about Jaxin in person.
