Adoption Update

Home, sweet home!

Home is where the heart is, and no home is complete unless the heart is filled with love. Elena has been a special resident of the Humane Society of El Paso for the better part of 2016. Elena came from a home that was very full, but not with love: Elena was rescued from a hoarding case in Las Cruces, where she lived in deplorable and inhumane conditions with dozens of other dogs. Elena and a male counterpart, named Damon who was adopted a few months ago, were transferred from Animal Services Center of Mesilla Valley in January. Elena was terribly under-socialized, and suffered from extreme anxiety. Elena’s mental health has been slowly improving over the past few months, but she was still missing a piece of her heart. Elena had neither a home of her very own, nor a person who was devoted to loving her.

Four HSEP long-timers find homes

Whether it takes ten minutes or ten years, animals who find themselves at the Humane Society of El Paso will be here until they find their perfect homes. We always hope for the former, but no matter how long it takes, the HSEP is committed to finding each and every animal a home. On Saturday, March 26th, four of the HSEP's long timers were adopted, which is definitely cause for celebration!

Amadeus lives happily ever after

Once upon a time, on a very dark day, a scared and scarred little pit bull was used into the Humane Society of El Paso. This little pup was injured beyond belief, riddled with maggots, and too weak to lift his head. He was named Amadeus Grey, and his road to recovery was nothing short of miraculously. The final stop, his fur-ever home, is a palace of love fit for a king.

Success Story: Crush and Diesel

Crush and Diesel are two tough-looking sisters, who are as sweet as canine-ly possible! We could not be more excited to share their tail-wagging tale!

Success Story: Cinnamon

Cinnamon's sadness was contagious, and infected everyone who walked by this senior pup's kennel. His heartbreak was short lived, luckily, thanks to the power of social media.
