The Chile Pepper Challenge was held on October 1st, and the HSEP was honored and excited to be a part of it for the second year in a row. No one knew that a stray dog would wander into the event, in need of some of the happiness that happens at the HSEP.
This week was established to increase awareness about the dangers of pet obesity and also to encourage people to adopt a shelter dog in order to start walking. Also, there are so many fun things to do with your furry companion in fall.
The Humane Society of El Paso sees many animals come through its doors. Every animal is special and unique, but occasionally an extra-special rescue comes to the shelter, in need of extra special love and care.
The Humane Society of El Paso is a private, non-profit animal shelter that does not receive any
city, state, or federal funding. We rely on grants, adoption fees, private donations, and
fundraising events for all of our operating expenses.
