The HSEP is here to complete your family with a new furry friend.
The Humane Society of El Paso is thrilled that you are interested in taking this big step by adopting a pet, but before you start looking for your family's new addition here some important questions you need to ask yourself and family.
Being a pet owner is a big responsibilty. It takes more than love; it requires time and money.
If you rent a home or live in an apartment, there are often restrictions regarding the weight, breed, and number of animals allowed, in addition to a pet deposit. Before adopting, please research your restrictions and required deposits.
If so, you can bring them to the Humane Society of El Paso for a meet and greet. The HSEP wants to make sure that he or she will get along with a new four legged family member.
It’s important to do research! Labs may love water, and Heelers may have high energy. Tabby Cats might be adventurous and stubborn, or sweet and charming depending on the mix. The HSEP is full of different breeds and mixes, but they all have something in common: they’re eager for love and looking for a new home and family to call their own.
Make sure to speak with your family about the big responsibility.
Most importantly, don’t hesitate to ask HSEP staff questions! The HSEP family is here to help build families four paws, and prove the happy happens here!
